Lighting Source

Postby anupam mukherjee » Fri Apr 10, 2015 4:28 pm

Tank Size : 36" x15" x18"
Substrate : Barebottom
Life Stock : 3 Goldfish & 1 Asiatic
Scape : Bogwood
Present Lighting : Hitachi 20 watt fluoroscent(pink) t10 tube light.

Light seems too low for the tank. Planning to change the light(prefelably 6500k). Suggestions plz for the wattage and brand.

Thanks and Regards,
Anupam Mukherjee

as this is not a planted tank, u need not worry abt wattage nd light temp.
just put is a couple of local 3/5watt led bulbs, that will be enough...

Thanks for the idea... No idea about the prices. Can you throw some light on the prices. What about 2 feet tube light of philips ( 6500k) ? The consumption would be much more than a couple leds but the initial cost would also be low. What about 23 watt cfl ? I do have that in stock.
