If a soil does not disintegrate over time, (Like Seachem Flourite black) it cannot have much humus content(less humus = less Nitrogen) unlike Amazonia/Contro. So even if it does not disintegrate
not sure how long can it support healthy plant growth. For soils like amazonia/contro/fluval, even if they get disintegrated, mixing sand stones will still stop the soil become compact and will allow
healthy plant growth. Btw recently Ista soil has also hit Kolkata market. You can check review for it as well. Heard it comes in 2mm granules. One of my acquaintances has started using it, yet to get feedback though !
Thanks & Regards..

i too heard of it but 2mm is v small and may get compact over time i guess.

cant say abt floutire but this one is not inert afaik. the company says that it leaches nutrients slowly and once the nutrients from the subs is empty it can be re-minerialized with a solution of theirs'... this m nt very sure abt.

thanks fr the sand stone trick...i didnt know that :D

let me know the feedback when possible for ista one. :-bd
so many options these days that its getting more and more confusing these days...

As far as i remember they gave it a thumbs up. But initially leaches nutrients like ada so large water changes are recommended.
