Diatom almost cleared. Thanks to water change and recently added RCS.

Some recent pictures.

Nice tank, but are you getting good circulation with HOB in that position. I think placing it on the left wall will get good circulation along the length of the tank, no?

Are you dosing fertilizers? If not, start dosing. Stop DIY CO2 (if any). It is of no use. Plus it is so unpredictable that suddenly you may find all your shrimps dead. And I think your light is not bright enough.

Actually I am getting enough circulation with that position. From left I can definitely get more, but there is a chance of someone hitting the HOB(same applies for right side).

Fertilizers - yes I am dosing.
DIY CO2 - Its citric acid and soda, so not much chance of unpredictability.
Light - I thought of this tank as low light tank. Montecarlo is growing with that light a bit slowly.

The 3.5W led is not sufficient for the plants(MC carpet) to thrive. I am planning to update the lights. What kind of light will be suitable for a setup like this. I am running 18w CFL as of now. Any idea how RS Electrical Aquarium Light RS-307 is?

Any kind of clip-on pll is also fine. Please suggest.

RCS started multiplying and lots of shrimplets are roaming arround now.

Recent updates: Day 163

Planted some hm in the back. MC is now spreading as I am using CFL at the morning pp. Any idea of adding some LEDs along with my current clipon LED.
