Lost the tank as BGA got in and covered everything in it:cry:
A pic of the algae infested HM

This was because of high light so increased the height.

Restarting it,will post some pics soon.

light isnt the issue here...smthing else was...find out what it was...most likely co2 defiency

Sorry, the root cause in BGA is not CO2 ,its low or zero nitrates.
BGA will aslo thrive in high CO2.
To me its just that the HMs have utilised most of the nitrates as its a huge nitrate sucker.
BGA is infact cyanobacteria and less of algae and it can photosynthesize.
you could have nuked it with erythromycin(as you dont have any canisters running) or done a blackout with high nitrate dosing (like conventional technique) without dimantling the setup.

I dont think light temp is of any use. It just makes difference how we see the tank. Am I wrong?
